Selecting nodes

To select a node, choose the Select tool from the Scene Graph toolkit. You can then:

Click on a node's body to select it.

: Don't click on the node's input or output channel; this instead selects the node for inclusion in the drawing window's View Selected mode.

Ctrl-click on a node's body to select both the node itself, and all nodes connected to its input channel.

: Again, don't click on the node's input or output channel.

Drag a bounding box around nodes to select them.

If you also hold down the Shift key, your existing selection remains; any further unselected nodes you choose are added to the selection, and any selected nodes you choose become unselected.

You can also select a node in the Scene Graph by selecting the corresponding node name in the XSheet panel (see Selecting nodes), or by selecting the corresponding border in the Drawing Window (see Selecting nodes in the Drawing Window). When you do this, the Scene Graph automatically scrolls to show the selected node.
